Walkable fingers and booms
Our standard fingers and booms have good buoyancy with non-sinking floaters. They feature silent hinges and are easy to adjust and install. The floaters are filled with Styrofoam, providing good and stable buoyancy. All walkable fingers can be supplied with a pressure-treated pine deck or a grating deck. We offer the Ørsta Futura™ and Classic models.
Ørsta Futura™
Ørsta Futura™ – for those who want the best! This top model is designed with the highest quality in mind. All steel parts are protected with CombiCoat®, which involves thorough galvanization followed by two layers of powder coating. This surface treatment gives Ørsta Futura™ an impressive lifespan of up to 40 years!
The material is composed of bolted solutions that provide unique lateral flexibility, offering extra safety and stability. Additionally, parts can be easily replaced if needed.
As a standard, Ørsta Futura™ walkable finger and boom come with solid full fenders along both sides and one or two sturdy, non-slip triangular plates towards the pontoon. The walkeable finger’s material boasts fantastic durability and a beautiful design.
Classic
Classic – a solid choice for the budget-conscious! This model is fully welded and galvanized, making it stiffer and less flexible than the Ørsta Futura™. Although it does not offer the same replaceability options, it still provides reliable performance. The surface treatment of the steel gives the Classic a lifespan of at least 20 years.
Classic walkable fingers and booms come without fenders, but you can easily upgrade with point fenders available for separate purchase. If you choose material with a triangular section towards the pontoon, be aware that this section is delivered open by default, but we sell grates if desired. A grate provides better protection and functionality, as it can be stepped on. Additionally, you can choose to install a swim and rescue ladder at the end of the walkable fingers.
Installation
For instaling both Ørsta Futura™ and Classic walkable fingers, you only need a pair of hinges, which must be purchased separately. The choice of hinges depends on the type of pontoon to which the walkable finger will be attached, providing you with flexibility and customization according to your needs.
