Steel pontoons and concrete pontoons

Vik Ørsta provides a wide range of floating pontoons and breakwaters for marina facilities. We offer the top-tier Ørsta Futura™ and the high-quality, budget-friendly Classic model, available in both steel and concrete.

Steel pontoons

Our steel pontoons provide excellent buoyancy with unsinkable floaters. They are low-maintenance, have few wear parts, and offer long service intervals. The pontoons can be delivered with either a pressure-treated pine deck or a grating deck. We offer the Ørsta Futura™ and Classic models.

• Well-designed and flexible
• Stable against tilting
• Allows good water circulation
• Silent connections
• Unsinkable, foam-filled floaters
• Easy adjustment of boat berths
• Few wear parts

The Ørsta Futura™ steel pontoons boast a well-designed and flexible structure. The pontoon’s steel frame is composed of bolted components and treated with our CombiCoat® method, which includes hot-dip galvanizing and two layers of powder coating.

The Classic steel pontoons also feature a well-designed and flexible structure. The steel frame is welded and hot-dip galvanized.

Each steel pontoon comes standard with four 630-liter floaters, suitable for walkable fingers on both sides. The pontoon can also be delivered with 420-liter floaters, providing a 22 cm lower freeboard, which is more suitable for configurations with walkable fingers on only one side or without fingers. We recommend contacting a sales representative to determine the best configuration. The floaters are made from solid molded polyethylene and filled with polystyrene, ensuring they are unsinkable.

Thepontoon’s connections are patented polyurethane couplings that are completely silent, minimizing wear and ensuring stable pier rows.

Concrete pontoons

Concrete pontoons are sturdy structures that remain stable in the water and can withstand various weather conditions. They come in several variants, including standard concrete pontoon, breakwater, and floating quay, known for their easy maintenance and long lifespan.

• Low life-cycle costs by avoiding future pontoon replacements
• Connection using long wire linkages
• Through-bolts for fender attachment

Ørsta Futura™ concrete pontoons are the solution for the future. The floating pontoon is designed to meet the growing demand for boat berths. The unique channel network and reinforcement system make it easy to reconfigure the marina.

The Classic concrete pontoon features an elegant design and a non-slip surface.

Concrete pontoons are installed with long wires that provide force control. Analyses show that the concrete pontoons are not overloaded even when experiencing significant movement at the pontoon’s joints. The long wires offer excellent protection against overload and are our preferred choice for breakwaters.

We offer various sizes and dimensions of concrete pontoons, breakewaters, and floating quays.
